Chord Overstreet Spends Some Quality Time With Fans

This girl was funny. She wanted to make sure I shot her picture with Chord so I did.
Chord Overstreet was very gracious with his fans after his show yesterday at the Roxy. It was a good time.

To me there was no need to ask Chord about Cory Monteith anyone who has
lost a friend knows how it feels.

Andy Dick Can't Stay Sober: Arrrives To DWTS Hightower/Murgatroyd Party WASTED

Family, friends and  fans of Andy Dick had high hopes (no pun intended) for the comedic actor to stay sober. It is proving too difficult for him to do. Andy Dick arrived to the birthday party of Chelsie Hightower and Peta Murgatroyd's inebriated. He arrived climbing over a fence to greet Peta who hugged him closely. Few moments later he left the party. We didn't know at the time that he was kicked out. Andy acted like a dick and grabbed my camera. That incident was telling considering if you watched KAT TALES TV videos of DWTS season 16, I was like others very supportive to Andy Dick's efforts. Being wasted isn't cute. Although Andy may receive press for his antics, in light of the recent death of Cory Monteith some people never learn.

Pop Sensation Ariana Grande Gets Shade From Some Angry Fans

It isn't always easy being the new Pop Princess. Last night after a radio appearance, lovely and talented Ariana Grande left the building without stopping for some fans who were waiting for her. Ariana has the right to do so. I really don't have a problem with that. Sometimes celebrities are tired, are running late, just don't feel like it or whatever the reason is, they just don't want to obey the wishes of fans. Sometimes fans forget that they don't own the stars. What I find astonishing and amusing is when the stars don't do what the so called fans want, some of the "fans" get very bitchy about it. The above is one of the cases. Anyway, this was the first time I heard or seen of Ariana Grande, I happened to be with some friends who told me about her and showed me her music video so I tagged along. She is a talented young star with a nice voice. I think the fans yelling in the video are HILARIOUS.

A Night For Trayvon Martin: Activists Stand Their Ground In Hollywood

I had no idea there was going to be a March for Trayvon Martin or that I was going to join it. Twitter can be thanked for that. I had already had a full day of work but after seeing some tweets about Justice For Trayvon Martin, I decided to go. It is easy to be cynical and to wonder if peaceful marches make a difference. I've been to numerous ones in the past and started to question if it was worth being brutalized by the police or marginalized by the so called news media. A pain in my heart made me join one more protest. Activism is like working out when you don't want to and you have a million excuses not to but you must do it anyway. I don't have a son or daughter and I don't know if I will ever have children. I do know that if Trayvon was my child I would be heartbroken, bitter and maybe inconsolable. What could possibly help ease the pain? Knowing that others stood their ground for my son. That people around the world who didn't know me or my son, chanted his name and made sure he wasn't forgotten. My heart would heal a little bit more knowing fellow compassionate beings took over the streets for my child. We must agitate against complacency. We must work our activism muscles and not get atrophied in sadness and inaction.

Middle Schoolers Discuss Peer Pressure & Cutting/Self-Harm

Slightly over a month ago, I did a video on Paris Jackson's suicide attempt. I was (and still am) concerned about her welfare. It isn't easy being a teenager whether your famous or not and I wanted to do something about my concern for kids who feel they have no one to talk to. I never understood cutting. And when I first heard about it several years ago, I just didn't get it. With a little more wisdom via suffering "the slings and arrows" of fate as well as everyday life, one can easier grasp that we all have our peculiar addictions. Some people drink excessive amounts of alcohol, some escape pain through drugs, over eating, starving themselves, over exercising, hoarding, dangerous sex or extreme celibacy. We all suffer. We all handle it different ways. So what can we do about feeling helpless? I think talking about it is the first step.
I want to thank these three intelligent, kind and lovely young ladies who took the time to share with me and with you their thoughts about being in Middle School and growing up in a world full of peer pressure. They also share that many of their classmates follow the disturbing trend of cutting and starving themselves. I don't have children but if I did I would be intimidated on what would be the best way to raise my child in this world of twitter, FB, Instagram, celebrity role models, TV and peer pressure. What I can do, is Listen, share my insights and make videos and hopefully create a dialogue for change and growth.

Smokey Robinson Ready To Go On Tour: Invites KAT for A Picture

So guess who I bumped into after enjoying Malibu and a mouthful of licorice? The Legendary MOTOWN King SMOKEY ROBINSON.......................................

Malibu Brats Enforce Entitlement With BB Guns

I honestly don't remember the last time I sat and chilled at one of the many beaches in LA. So imagine, I'm sitting on the beach with my friend Karma who I haven't seen in a long time. We are enjoying our conversation. We watch the seagulls fly over head, people walking by with their dogs and swimmers splashing. It feels wonderful to sit on the beach and be still UNTIL these kids start target shooting with their BB guns. Although Karma and I are several yards away from the house were the kids are shooting, some of their pellets from their toy guns hit Karma. I'm dumbfounded on what kind of parents allow their kids to do such a thing. Aim/Shoot and "play" in the direction of people just sitting on the beach. The parents saw their kids shooting and just walked away down the coast. Later one of the kids brought out a larger BB gun, a rifle. The sense of entitlement, ownership, arrogance and ignorance were so vividly displayed that it made me a little shocked. While we were leaving I said to one of the kids that it wasn't very nice to shoot their guns in the direction of people on the beach. The kid replied that the beach was his property. Karma and I were like WOW! A young boy no more than 12-13 already enforces his "property" so he thinks with the threat of BB guns. People wonder where kids learn violence. I think a great deal comes from their parent's attitude. Giving kids BB guns to play with without supervision and without care of injuring others is a sure sign of poor parenting no matter how rich they are. The smugness on the kid's face was classic Spoiled Brat Racism as this is my land and you are not allowed here. I didn't know Malibu beach was only for the residents of Malibu? I didn't know their was an Apartheid wall. I thought the beach was free and anyone could use them as long as they respected the rules. There were no property signs on the sand. Shame on those kid's parents.

Sexy Plant Blooms Erect

I had a lovely afternoon hanging with a friend named Karma who I haven't seen in ages. We were hanging out in Malibu and we saw this groovy plant. I don't know what kind it is but when I touched the green part it was full and strong. Sex is everywhere. Nature in its infinite beauty has the last laugh.

Exide Accused of Making LA Residents Sick Via Economic Racism

Racism comes in a plethora of forms. Putting a toxic plant in a predominately Latino neighborhood that emits lead and arsenic in the air and under ground is another way of showing the arrogance of Corporate Greed. Which begs the question, how to battle a corporate giant when you are labeled a "minority"?

Residents of Vernon are in a fight for the health of their families against EXIDE who recently filed for bankruptcy protection while being accused of poisoning East LA.  Exide makes and recycles lead-acid batteries. Residents have complained of soot from the plant on their cars, lawns and outside furniture. They   are also worried about higher cases of cancer, asthma and other health issues as a direct result from Exide's extremely high arsenic emissions.

L.A. Superior Court Judge Luis A. Lavin overturned a temporary closure on Exide's Vernon plant much to the disappointment of concerned residents on July 2nd. Exide will be back in business despite their numerous health violations. OSHA and The EPA has found Exide in violation of air safety laws in numerous plants including Vernon yet it is allowed to stay open. Why?
