KAT & Lynnelle: Is Bobbi Kristina Brown In Danger?

This is a touchy explosive subject which we hope will expose light to a dark one. What do you do when someone you care about is in an allegedly abusive drug filled relationship? The person that you worry about is showing all the signs. The following is a list of clues of symptoms taken from the National Council On Alcoholism and Drug Dependence:

Warning Signs Of Drug Use

1. Physical and health warning signs of drug abuse

• Eyes that are bloodshot or pupils that are smaller or larger than normal.
• Frequent nosebleeds--could be related to snorted drugs (meth or cocaine).
• Changes in appetite or sleep patterns.  Sudden weight loss or weight gain.
• Seizures without a history of epilepsy.
• Deterioration in personal grooming or physical appearance.
• Injuries/accidents and person won’t or can’t tell you how they got hurt.
• Unusual smells on breath, body, or clothing.
• Shakes, tremors, incoherent or slurred speech, impaired or unstable coordination.

2. Behavioral signs of drug abuse

• Drop in attendance and performance at work or school; loss of interest in extracurricular activities, hobbies, sports or exercise; decreased motivation.
• Complaints from co-workers, supervisors, teachers or classmates.
• Unusual or unexplained need for money or financial problems; borrowing or stealing; missing money or valuables.
• Silent, withdrawn, engaging in secretive or suspicious behaviors.
• Sudden change in relationships, friends, favorite hangouts, and hobbies.
• Frequently getting into trouble (arguments, fights, accidents, illegal activities).

3. Psychological warning signs of drug abuse

• Unexplained change in personality or attitude.
• Sudden mood changes, irritability, angry outbursts or laughing at nothing.
• Periods of unusual hyperactivity or agitation.
• Lack of motivation; inability to focus, appearing lethargic or “spaced out.”
•  Appearing fearful, withdrawn, anxious, or paranoid, with no apparent reason.

Recently Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina's husband posted pictures on his Twitter page of a arsenal of weapons and threatened Houston family members. He also demanded on Twitter that they send Bobbi Kristina's first inheritance check of several ($1,000,000 from Whitney's estate estimated between $12 -$20 Million). This situation escalated to the point that Pat Houston (Whitney Houston's sister in law) got a restraining order against Nick Gordon. Pat Houston is also the co-executor of  Houston's estate. Bobbi Kristina has posted pictures on social media exposing her shrinking frame, looking unkempt and wearing miss matched shoes. To their defense, Nick and Bobbi Kristina defend their actions loudly on their perspective Twitter pages denouncing all that oppose them in their eyes and saying that they are right and the "haterz" are wrong. Their animosity toward Pat Houston keeps growing while being recklessly displayed on social media. In what world is his behavior normal and healthy? How can the family come together and work through explosive issues? Can Bobbi Kristina get help? Is she being taken advantage off? Are her and Nick Gordon abusing drugs? Is Nick Gordon abusing his influence on his wife who is the off spring of two known drug addicts: Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown? There are so many questions so I asked Lynnelle (who has been in recovery for 16 years her thoughts on the volatile situation. What can we all gleam from this tragedy to make communication and healing better and possible in our own families. Below is the video:

Blaming Bobby Brown

I didn’t realize that Whitney Houston died ten years from the date of the infamous Diane Sawyer “Crack is Whack” interview. Over the last month, so many people are still talking about Whitney Houston. The love for Whitney’s talent is unshakeable. Yet people are still putting much of the blame on Bobby Brown. There are rumors that Whitney was into drugs (although which kind who knows) before she met Bobby Brown. But one thing is for certain each person has to take responsibility for their own actions. Blaming someone else although it may seem in the short term easier to do, however in the long term and if a person is really attempting to elevate their consciousness to confront their addictions, they must in turn take responsibility for their own downfall. Whitney Houston's own personal demons whatever they were overtook her talent and her own life. Through the death of another “celebrity” the public can either learn or avoid the truth. We all have demons and dragons that we must slay or we can slip just as easily in the dreary darkness of depression. For all the naysayers, Bobby Brown regardless of what he did or didn’t do is still alive. I forgot about this video I did after the birth of Brown's newest son until I noticed that this particular video was rated number 1 on my list for the last month. The dislike of Bobby Brown and Alicia Etheridge in the comments tell a story about the public's view on Whitney and Bobby.

Mr. My Perogative and His GF Part Deux

Last week, on my way home I noticed Bobby Brown skipping to the chase his girl friend Alicia Etheridge was none too happy. So yesterday I see them again, walking out of an elevator. I congratulated them on their baby boy. And I can't say they were in a better mood but they did seem to get that we take photos for their publicity as well as a job. I can only speak for myself. I try to be respectful, give the celebrity ample room and make it a fun experience. I don't think I would be able to sell so many photos of stars and have them relaxed while I'm photographing them if I was an ass.



Genuinely I care about people in whatever I do. I'm human like everyone else and if it seems like it is too much for someone I back off. Getting back to Bobby Brown, he worked Bedford like a catwalk so we were able to get amble shots. Before I had uploaded the entire set, pictures of mine were already up on Young Black & Fabulous. Bobby, his girlfriend and of course Quween on the scene gave me lots of interesting shots.


Quween told me that back in the day she would hang out with Bobby and Whitney...I asked her if I could record what she said next and she said NO! While Alicia was in the doctor's, Bobby smoked, walked around and grabbed something to eat. He talked and listened to the Quween while she went off on Harvey Levin. It was a wild day because Michael Jackson was around the way and Serena Williams was down the street and I was running around so I got my exercise in.

On my way to go shopping or to sleep (what's the difference?) I see this guy rubbing a lady's shoulder across the street. On closer inspection, I realize it is Bobby Brown. So I turned around and got the tail in. Alicia his girlfriend/manager wasn't having it...

I wish them good luck with their new baby boy. At the time I didn't know they had the baby.
