Acting Governator Declares Emergency in CA

Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger declares that CA is in a financial disaster. With a current deficit of $11.2 billion dollars and a gap in revenue of over $25 billion, the Governor has decided against getting emergency help from the federal government. Schwarzenegger's plan is to raise sales tax in the state, increase cost in vehicle registration, reduce spending on CA education, reduce spending in low income services and an economic stimulus program.

Hawaii Goes Electric

As a solution to importing fuel, reducing emissions and loosing jobs, Hawaii has jumped on board to increase Electric Cars on the island. By 2012, Hawaii will increase Electric cars by 70%. The island will have electric cars increased in their rental fleets as well as electric car infrastructures provided by a Better Place (a company that exchanges depleted lithium ion batteries with fully charged ones). Hawaii beleives this will reduce dependency on foreign oil, help clean the envirnoment and increase jobs by recirculating money on the Island.
According to Ralph Nader (ex-Presidential candidate and consumer advocate), 2/3rds of American Autoworkers jobs over the last 15 years have been lost. While the auto giants are going to Washington to asked for more BAILOUT money, now is the time to push for higher mpg, lower emissions standards and auto jobs staying in America.
GM, one of the auto companies going back to beg, should be highly reprimanded for destroying their EV1 (an electric car) that was test marketed several years ago.
If you would like to learn more about Electric Cars, check out Plug In America.org (take out the spaces) and a Better Place.com.
Later models of hybrids from 2004 on can be turned into electric cars.

SHAUNA SAND Shops For Star

Shauna Sand went shopping for a star at Target. After having " ta-tas augmentation", Sand was able to look for the topper for her family's Xmas tree. Shauna said she was in a lot of pain and that she really needed to be in bed. Thank Goodness for Vicodin and a handsome Swedish guy to help drive you around. Shauna Sand has more men than MAE WEST. I wish Shauna would teach me how to do it. She always has a new man. Speaking of men, one of hers disappeared. He has been missing for 2 months. Anyway, I have to look through my pix and post his picture. I always tease Shauna that her french hubby off'd him.
Shauna said she is finally leaving (1,000th) time her fine french husband after getting another restraining order against him. Also Sand said that her German TV Show project is going well and wraps on Monday. Next she will be performing in a show in Las Vegas. Shauna is a trained dancer which I didn't know. And she will be working on her own show for the States. The world needs a show on Shauna Sand. Trust me it is better than a soap opera.

Stars Shine at Hollywood X-Mas Parade

As Jupiter and Venus twinkled under a Crescent Moon, the Hollywood Christmas Parade went on while the Jonas Brothers had a concert at the same time at the Palladium. Traffic was a mess but who really cared while so many were enjoying the holidays.
I wanted to wear something festive, so I pulled out a funny X-Mas hat and ended wearing two catsuits with the purple one on top. Kids kept thinking I was a Huge Purple Elf. I got a kick out of that. Anyway, Prince Frederick was riding in his white Rolls we met up and he left me without any press credentials at the parade site. So I was asked over and over where my credentials were. I said I was with the Prince . After the 100th time they left me alone.
Just a few of the stars participating: David CarradineFred Willard Kyle Massey
Shirley Jones & Marty Engel Cast of Twilight Cast of Young & Restless American Idols actors comedians, high school bands, dance troupes, horse teams & a host of volunteers and staff that made it all possible.
One of the best moments of the evening was when Shirley Jones (Patridge Family) was trying to get her (Marty Engel) husband to stop yapping to the press and get into the car. Marty Engel had a brief case and it was full of candy. He gave it out to the kids around me and we all were smiling because we had never seen a brief case full of candy before.

BLACK FRIDAY R.I.P. - Rip Off

Even though I was desperately in need of a new computer and had spent hours researching ads from various stores, I just couldn't get myself to stand outside in the cold for 5-8 hours to get a cheaper deal. I decided to sleep instead. I woke up early and went to a Best Buy that looked like a War Zone. Long lines, people driving crazy in the parking lot, boxes placed to block people from entering, I ended up leaving and going to another store. I went to Staples. Of course their computers were already sold out. They had a deal on a camera they said it came with a printer for free. I was in line to purchase it and the total was over $300. I said to the sales person, "you must have rung it up wrong". She said no she hadn't that the "free" printer was a mail in rebate. I said HELL NO. That is false advertising and that wasn't what I was told originally. I was pissed and left that store. Then I went to Office Depot. Of course there advertised computer was already sold out so I was looking at others. I spent too much time looking and comparing specifics - that is how I like to shop. Rushing around isn't my cup of tea. I like to know what I'm getting and matching it with what I can afford. So there was this computer, I was looking at. The sales person said it was the last one. Then one said we have some computers in the back so I went to look at those. Another salesperson told me that they only had one computer in the back while the manager had told me there were several. So I went back to the manager he showed me 3 other ones out of my price range. I went back to the computer that I had seen. There was a price on it that was a little more than I wanted but I was well I'll get it. Everything was sold out at the other stores. So when I went to purchase it, I was told I had to buy extra this and extra that. The total was close to $200 more. I was walking out the store and the manager was like Oh I will deduct this and I will give you a free that. I was like HELL NO!!!!! And decided to shop later. I'm comforted myself by going to Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles and got me some grits added. I felt much better after eating and then decided to check back with the stores after the mad rush.
I heard about the man who worked at a Wal-Mart getting trampled to death over some bullshit cheap merchandise probably assembled by slave labor in China. This sales HYPE is all so stupid. People become mobs over crap. How many plasma TVs does one really need?
Saturday night I went back to a Best Buy after I had called on the phone and I was told they still had some on sale computers in stock so I went over. When I got there the salesperson did a physical check and said they had NONE. They had some E Machines (that nobody wanted) and of course they had some other ones that were available. I explained to the salesperson that I was told they had them in and I was getting upset that I was repeatedly getting false information. Another family that was standing near me said the same thing. They ended up leaving. The salesperson showed me a computer that was again out of my price comfort zone. He also told me the sale computers that were listed for BLACK FRIDAY didn't come with Software. It was an add on and it wasn't really the better deal. I realized it was all BullShit.
If I had gotten the computer on Black Friday I would have had to spend another $200 or so on software and etcs. Finally the guy whispered to me, just come back on Sunday or Monday. He said check the flyer in Sunday's paper and they will have the best deals. I did and he was right. So all the hype was a waste a time for me. The real deal for me at least happened Monday night. The most positive thing that happened out of all this was I talked with a MAC guy at Best Buy who really knew his merchandise better than the Grove Mac Guys who rush one through. Anyway, after talking to him, I realized I really want a MAC. I'm going to save up for one. There are no real sales on MACs. They cost what they cost but for what I have to do with editing photos and videos etc, MAC seems like the purrrfect fit for me.
