The WANTED: Ready To Rule The World (One Jingle At A Time)

 Tom Parker
 Jay McGuiness
 Siva Kaneswaran
 Max George
Nathan James Sykes

The WANTED (boy band) comprised of English/Irish talent has won the hearts of fans not only in their neck of the woods but all across the globe. With recent appearances at the American Music Awards, Dancing With The Stars and The Jingle Balls concerts around Canada and America, their following is growing. I don't think these talented guys get any sleep but who needs sleep when you are young, gifted and Nathan James Sykes sings like he is Black. I like these guys. They are sweet, charming, talented and easy on the eyes. The WANTED are a formula that works. One wonders if we are seeing a modern version of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones or the Monkees?

Michael Dolenz: Don't Call Him Micky

Who didn't love the MONKEES? The opening song to the iconic 60's TV show was addictive as ectasy. Imagine my surprise when I saw Micky Dolenz who officially changed his name to Michael Dolenz. As I stated in previous posts, I was a big fan of the MONKEES and even interviewed Bert Schneider several times. For those who don't know Bert Schneider was the executive producer and master mind of the show. Jack Nicholson was the screenwriter for the movie HEAD that the MONKEES made.
Well Michael Dolenz (Micky) was tight lipped after leaving the Ivy. Another videographer and I tried everything until I just concentrated on taking pictures.

Bert Schneider: The House the MONKEES Made

The last month has been a surreal trip. Figures that were Icons to me, especially since I was a child, have crossed my path. If someone told me I would be meeting Michael Jackson, Carol Burnett, as well as one of the people that created the Monkees in a span of a few weeks and then one of them would die a few days later, I would have thought it was a bad nightmare. The story is true however and truth is stranger than fiction. This is one of the stories of Hollywood. Bert Schneider who I was introduced to by Quween, days after Michael Jackson's death and I spent hours together over the last few weeks. Schneider is a fascinating man who like all of us (in our own unique ways) has his cross to bare. In a whirlwind of Charlie Chaplin, Michael Jackson and the Monkees and the Black Panthers, Schneider and I had much to talk about. The following is just a snippet of a larger story...
