Michael Jackson The Legend Lives On
With a send up on DWTS All Stars earlier in the week, and a "BAD 25" TV Special by Spike Lee on
ABC tonight,
ABC tonight,
imagine my surprise when the above MJ moment happened and all I could do was record
the smirk of the universe. So many things that don't appear to be linked, are.
This was what it was like to be MJ for an instant.
I have many things to be Thankful for.
The Universe has brought me some amazing gifts.

Michael Jackson Still Missed Still Remembered
I was leaving Hollywood Blvd late last night after having a business meeting with Busty Heart and Amazon Ashley, when I noticed fans around MJ's star. Although they had little space due to Katy Perry's concert and premiere set up confiscating Hollywood and Orange, the fans surrounded Michael Jackson's star and celebrated his legacy. I didn't feel like shooting last night but I shot the star this morning. A beautiful flower arrangement was on his star. The above is a few shots. Three years ago yesterday, the King of Pop died. However his music will live forever.

The Night Before Whitney Houston Died
I've been sadden by the news of the Icon Whitney Houston passing. I was so excited about her being seen out and about on pre-Grammy red carpet parties. I thought she looked good inside the clubs and she seemed to be having a good time. Anyway, my prayers go out to her family and loved ones especially Bobbi Kristina who has been to the hospital after the death of her mother.
Friday night, I was exhausted after a long day but I had made plans to meet up with my friend Lynnelle to continue our discussions. I've mentioned her numerous times because I felt a long time ago that her story was something that could help people battling addiction and also to educate those who are dealing with someone with addictions. Lynnelle has been sober for 15 years. She used to do crack cocaine. Her favorite artist is Whitney Houston. So late on Friday night, we got together and had a long discussion about sobriety and battling addiction. This was an honest discussion and maybe it will help others. I hope so. It was as if we had a little "meeting" ourselves and shared it with the world. This video is dedicated to anyone battling triggers of addiction. Eventually I will combine the video put for now it is in 3 segments.

Motown More Than Just Music
I was wondering what to call this post. The more I think about it, I don't know if words can express what the Jackson meant to so many. The Motown Sound via Berry Gordy's leadership brought not only jobs. It enriched so many lives and created more influence than we will ever know on global culture. Here is one person's true story about how much Tito Jackson, The Jacksons, Diana Ross, Berry Gordy and the music that was made meant to her...
Here is the original video that we are referencing...

Micheal Jackson: The Lynching of An Icon
I'm almost at a lost for words. I'm questioning my own thoughts on my reaction to going to a 3 Letter Word Website to catch up on entertainment stories and seeing without prior warning a photo of Michael Jackson dead on a white sheet. Tasteless, ghoulish and maybe even a tad racist. I don't know, I'm not in the mind of the person or persons who ok'd posting the images. To some it is fair game because it is evidence from the Conrad Murray Manslaughter trial. To me it just shows the depravity that we all have welcomed into our descent into moral hell. Happy Halloween. And I hope the head honcho comes out of the closet on Gay Day. Wow! What some companies will do to make hits to their websites. So fascinating how lynching MJ has been such a long process. Even in death, he is surrounded in a white sheet and paraded on our modern day lynch tree of death the mogul owned media malicious Internet. How low we have become. How evil are the psyches that make profit of those photos and other's like them. As Billy Holliday sang "Strange Fruit" I can feel the sadness that drove her to heroin. The lynch mob is alive and well. Instead of cutting off body parts and sending it through the mail as they did in the early 20th Century, the racists and sickos are doing it over our so called "free" Internet.
I wonder how Harvey Levin would feel if his parents or partner was splayed out dead for the world to make comments on and peruse over?

Shutaro Honors Michael Jackson by Dancing On His Star
Words don't do justice to simple moments in life. In the greatest sorrow there can be profound joy and celebration. As we mark the 2nd anniversary of Michael Jackson passing, let's celebrate his life. A lot of people give me a hard time for doing Katwoman on Hollywood Blvd. So many people look down on me for dressing up in a silly costume but all I can say is for all the hassle that I've put up with and endured, there have been moments that have touched me in ways that have made me a better person and a better artist. And I have met other people from around the world who get "dressing up in silly costumes" and having a good time while spreading a little bit of joy. Few times in my life have I wept the way I did when MJ died and few times in my life have I had so much fun as I did the last time I saw Michael Jackson.
When I see talented souls like Shutaro dance it brings me much joy. And although we don't speak the same language, we both were touched by MJ's gift. So I'm thankful that I was able to film Shutaro honoring Michael Jackson by dancing on his Hollywood Star...

The Apple Corp + Apple = the Beatles on iTunes
I didn't know why it took so long for the Beatles to be on iTunes. Come to find out that the Beatles founded their music company Apple Corps in 1968 and Apple (macintosh) were in a long and winding dispute over trademark infringement. Finally the case was resolved in 2007. But it took another 3 years for contracts to be hammered out. Also the curious fact that Michael Jackson owned the copyrights of all Beatles songs except 4 according to Answers.com. Did Michael Jackson's death may have hasten the iTunes Beatles deal?
