Unfortunately I don't have a photograph or video of the very talented and funny Rue McClanahan aka Blanche Deveraux of the Golden Girls. That show was fantastic but I will replay a sweet gem from the past of Qwueen on the Scene singing "Thank You For Being A Friend" to fellow and now the only Living Golden Girl Betty White

Flavor Flav Before The World Changed

Before we found out that MJ had passed but that he had a heart attack and was on his way to the hospital, we ran into Flavor Flav. Flavor Flav was in one of the greatest conscious bands of all time PUBLIC ENEMY. At the time of the pictures, Flavor Flav said that he had heard the news but he didn't believe it. The stress on Quween's face when she ran up to Flav shows our concern. I was trying to interview Flavor Flav at some point but I wasn't myself. He told me that it was going to be alright.

All I could do was try to take pictures at that point. Luckily I took lots of them. I saw many on Dlisted.com

KAT Update

Michael K over at Dlisted.com gave me and the Quween a shout out which is much appreciated. Dlisted.com is a very popular blog and when MK Ultra (that is what I like to call him) mentions a video, one sees the traffic instantaneously. The views to the video "Quween Hot Slut of the Day" already jumped substantially in number which is important in so many ways especially when it comes to having a TV Show. Quween was named HOT SLUT of the Week which is big on Dlisted. And KROQ has replayed her interview that she did on Friday already.
I also found out over the weekend that another German Magazine, Gala 24/2009 bought my pictures of "German actor Til Schweiger filming his reality TV show on Hollywood & Highland" - Los Angeles, California - 13.03.09. Til Schweiger is in Inglorious Bastards with Brad Pitt coming out very soon.

Lastly, I photographed and video'd super sexy and talented Teyana Taylor over 2 weeks ago, TMZ and some other media took a spin without doing their research.
Teyana is a multitalented performer and choreographer who is popular in the hip hop community.
They just didn't want to do the right thing but by them making up untruths about Taylor (referring to her as a Rihanna look alike and the new GF of Chris Brown) they just gave her more heat, more publicity. Hopefully Taylor will drop her album out in the summer so she can benefit from the attention.

Ioan Gruffund - Name That Face

While I'm parking my car I see this handsome man at the corner. I'm going into a parking garage so I know that I'm screwed. It takes a couple of minutes to get back to the street and find the guy. I know he is an actor but I can't remember where I saw him. I walk around Rodeo and he is no where to be seen. So I go to where I originally was going and about an hour later he literally crosses my path. I'm still trying to figure out where I've seen him from and I ask the Quween to help. So she introduces herself to him and forgets to ask his name.
At some point I say, "what are you working on?" so I can look it up later and the throws a smooth curve ball by saying that he is currently working on the birth of his first child. This makes us all go CONGRATULATIONS! And Quween says she has 7 grand babies and he throws a wonderful compliment to her about her being too young to have any and we never get his name. Later one of my agents staff lets me know that it is Ioan Gruffund. Then I realize he was in the Fantastic Four movies. He is a Welsh actor and he is a very sweet and charming man.

Mr. My Perogative and His GF Part Deux

Last week, on my way home I noticed Bobby Brown skipping to the chase his girl friend Alicia Etheridge was none too happy. So yesterday I see them again, walking out of an elevator. I congratulated them on their baby boy. And I can't say they were in a better mood but they did seem to get that we take photos for their publicity as well as a job. I can only speak for myself. I try to be respectful, give the celebrity ample room and make it a fun experience. I don't think I would be able to sell so many photos of stars and have them relaxed while I'm photographing them if I was an ass.



Genuinely I care about people in whatever I do. I'm human like everyone else and if it seems like it is too much for someone I back off. Getting back to Bobby Brown, he worked Bedford like a catwalk so we were able to get amble shots. Before I had uploaded the entire set, pictures of mine were already up on Young Black & Fabulous. Bobby, his girlfriend and of course Quween on the scene gave me lots of interesting shots.


Quween told me that back in the day she would hang out with Bobby and Whitney...I asked her if I could record what she said next and she said NO! While Alicia was in the doctor's, Bobby smoked, walked around and grabbed something to eat. He talked and listened to the Quween while she went off on Harvey Levin. It was a wild day because Michael Jackson was around the way and Serena Williams was down the street and I was running around so I got my exercise in.

Taraji Henson Gets Escorted by the Quween

Actress Taraji Henson who starred in Baby Boy, was escorted by the Quween yesterday.
Quween taking her celebrity protection service seriously, covered Ms. Henson's face with a large envelope that belonged to Ms. Henson.
Later Quween stopped a photographer trying to go up the stairs. Quween keeps paps on their toes. For some it is good for them to get a taste of their own medicine as well as keeping them in check.

Ms. Henson was wearing Prada sunglasses, blue fringe suede shoes, over sized designer bag and a textured T-shirt with a lady sporting an afro.

Quween on The Scene the Saga Continues

There are people that amaze and astound. Quween is one of them. I've seen her do many things. Watched as she has pushed photographers out of the way. Heard her cuss better than me when I'm PMSing. I've seen her cry when her feelings are hurt. I've also seen her help people in wheel chairs across the street. We are all complex people. Neither of us are all sinner nor saint but the Quween brings something magical to boring Bedford. I can't imagine the place without her. Quween is the face of homelessness, 5150s, menopause, violent upbringing, abusive relationships, unfinished/inadequate schooling, people of color and the truth. She is a constant reminder of those 5 miles South East of Beverly Hills that are similar to her and mostly hidden to the rich. Quween also is the face of giving to the needy - She gives love, understanding, clothes, food and money to those in need as well. Sometimes it is the people with less that give the most! I hope things continue to raise for the Quween after her stint on Funny or Die.com, TruTV is in negotiations with her for a new show.

Quween Of Bedford Moving On Up

The Queen of Bedford aka Quween on the Scene got a legit gig yesterday. Quween was hired by FUNNY OR DIE a website video production company funded and founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. Quween will be performing a skit with former American Idol Katherine McPhee. The bit has Quween acting as a body guard to celebrities while they go out and about. So as art imitates life the comedy bit will be based on reality...

With the exception that the Qwueen of Bedford now has her own Celebrity Security Agency.
